About CAB de Richmond: 45 Years of Commitment, Support, and Solidarity

For four decades, the Richmond Volunteer Action Centre has been at the heart of community engagement, a true catalyst for solidarity where every volunteer plays an essential role.

A Collective Force Serving the Community

Our volunteers are not simply helpers; they are builders of connections, guardians of well-being, and agents of change. Their involvement, dedication, and passion are the cornerstone of our mission. Without them, meeting the growing needs of our community would be an overwhelming challenge.

A History Built on Commitment

Founded in 1980 under the name Richmond Volunteer Action Committee, our organization evolved over the years to become, in 2012, the Richmond Volunteer Action Centre we know today. This transformation was driven by a clear vision: to make volunteering a powerful force for solidarity and mutual support.

A Place That Reflects Our Mission

Since July 2016, our Centre has benefited from a warm and accessible space located on the first floor of the Mont Saint-Patrice Convent. It is a welcoming place designed to support and assist both our volunteers and the people who benefit from our services.

Together, let’s continue building a stronger, more united, and more caring community!
