About
Richmond CAB: 45 years of commitment, mutual aid and solidarity
For four decades, the Richmond Volunteer Action Centre has been the beating heart of community engagement, a true catalyst for solidarity where every volunteer plays an essential role.
A collective force serving the community
Our volunteers aren't just caregivers; they're connection builders, guardians of well-being, and agents of change. Their involvement, dedication, and passion are the cornerstone of our mission. Without them, meeting the growing needs of our community would be an insurmountable challenge.
A story woven with commitment
Founded in 1980 as the Richmond Volunteer Action Committee, our organization has evolved over the years to become, in 2012, the Richmond Volunteer Action Center we know today. A transformation driven by a clear vision: to make volunteering a powerful lever for solidarity and mutual aid.
A place that lives up to our mission
Since July 2016, our Center has benefited from a welcoming and adapted space, located on the first floor of the Mont Saint-Patrice Convent. A space designed to welcome, support, and assist both our volunteers and the people who benefit from our services.
Together, let's continue to build a stronger, more united and more supportive community!
